Objective
The objective of the Department of Computer
Science is to enable the students to face the challenges in
the field of Information Technology. Apart from the
university curriculum, Extol curriculum is designed
especially to offer a cutting edge and to face new
challenges, job opportunities and a pragmatic approach
towards life. We also aim at promoting exchange and
cooperation with academic Institutes and Industries.
Students at Extol are assessed based on their
output performance throughout the academic session. We also offer
full time trainings which include , theory, practical and project
works. But computer is a machine requiring somebody skilled and
knowledgeable to feed it with proper data. That is what our
department do. It produces computer professionals specialized in
Software Engineering.
Extol Technology Cell
Extol Technology Cell helps the students in
broadening their knowledge through interaction with the software
professionals. Extol Technology Cell not only increases ones ability
to achieve success and over come challenges but also increases ones
inner and outer personality traits like decision making confidence,
positive attitude, presentability, teamwork, ability to deal with
others, goal orientedness, flexibility etc. Extol Technology Cell
brings out the latent talents of students making them more dynamic,
assertive, participative in order to develop overall personality of
student.

PROJECT CELL
Department of Computer Science realizing the
importance of projects in the area of computer science &
application, has made it mandatory of all its students to take up
the challenge of short term and comprehensive projects. In order to
ensure that students benifit thoroughly, the department has worked
out a structured plan for execution of the same along with the
guidelines which will serve as a major guiding document for students
willing to take up projects.
Projects serve as very important tool for learning in
professional courses, as they ensure thorough under standing in an
application subjects and in-depth working in the theoretical ones.
SHORT TERM PROJECTS
These are subject specific projects, which a student
of Extol undertakes in order to ensure thorough understanding in an
area of study. These projects are mostly a study of practical
application of an application subject or an indepth study through
secondary data sources. This helps in internization of a subject in
the curriculum in a short span of time (15 days to 3 months). This
is to be carried out in groups of 2-3 students.
COMPREHENSIVE PROJECTS
These projects are monthly or of longer duration as
compared to the Short term projects. Every student of Extol has to
take up one comprehensive project in each area of study. This is an
extensive and indepth work and study in an area in which a student
wishes to specialize or a practical work which needs integration of
multiple areas of study. The Comprehensive projects are usually very
helpful during the time of interviews for jobs as they serve as a
major qualifying criteria for the students. This may be undertaken
in groups or individually

Post Gratuate Diploma in Computer Application is a
two Semester (One year) intensive course in Information Technology.

Barkatullah

Master in Computer Science is a two year P.G. Course
from Barkatullah University. The first year is having six papers.
Second year is having five theory papers (one optional), one
practical and a project. The student of the course specializes in
areas of Information Technology/Computer Sciences. The course is
intensive and Industry oriented.

The Placement cell of the Institute provides students
with the resources and skills necessary to pursue their carrier
goals. The Placement cell is mainly responsible for establishing
contact with various organizations and arranging interviews of the
students. It also takes care of industrial visits and summer
training. The Placement cell functions under the guidance of
Professor In charge-Placement who is assisted by a placement
Officer. The Institute prints Placement Brochure once in an academic
sessions giving a brief profile of the students. The Placement
Bulletin is mail to well known Organizations all over the country
with a request to visit the Institute's campus for selecting
prospective executives as per their needs.
The Placement Cell is responsible for facilitating
contacts with companies and industries. The Placement Cell arranges
personal interviews for students on campus by the prospective
employers. This office also monitors on the job training and summer
training.
